4 stages . 5 nights . Swiss Alps
New for 2025, our 4-stage Davos to St. Moritz trip links these two famous resort towns in Graubünden, Switzerland’s largest and least densely-populated canton. This is a route of Alpine Exploratory’s creation, charting a varied course through the remote mountainous area between Davos and St. Moritz. We ascend to the summit of the Jakobshorn above bustling Davos, dropping to the peaceful Sertig valley before crossing the Sertigpass, now among the higher mountains. From the pass, our route descends via the Kesch Hutte through the Val Funtauna and Val Susauna to Zuoz, the historic centre of Switzerland’s famous Engadin valley, with a final walk through the valley to St. Moritz.
Our trip stays in comfortable Swiss hotels throughout, except for one night at the Kesch Hutte, a simple but well-located hut. This night in the high mountains gives a good introduction to life in Alpine huts.
On this self-guided trip, we book your accommodation and provide you with local maps and our routecards describing the trail in detail, allowing you to relax and enjoy walking through this scenic area under your own steam. If your group would like to hike with a guide, we can also arrange a privately guided trip. We welcome you to get in touch to ask for more details on this option.
