Stage 1: Davos to Sand
Red 4 (grade) 15.6km with 1,130m ascent, 810m descent
Our first stage starts at Davos-Platz station, right in town. We pass the Jakobshorn cable car, and aim for the summit of the Jakobshorn itself. After the summit we descend towards Sertig-Dörlfi in a valley connected to Davos, and walk along a short way to Sand, now solidly in the hills.

Red 4 (grade) 15.6km with 1,130m ascent, 810m descent

Stage 2: Sand to the Kesch Hütte
Red 3 (grade) 12.6km with 1120m ascent, 350m descent
To cross the hills we ascend, away from Davos, through the Chuëalptal and up to the Sertigpass (the trip’s high point at 2,738m) and on to the Kesch hut. The hut sits surrounded by mountains.

With a few lefts and rights, we descend from the hills in a relatively simple fashion, walking through the Val Funtauna and Val Susauna to the small town of Zuoz. A notable old town, Zuoz sits on the railway in the valley and is well-poised for a final stage.

Red 3 (grade) 20.3km with 390m ascent, 1310m descent
With a few lefts and rights, we descend from the hills in a relatively simple fashion, walking through the Val Funtauna and Val Susauna to the small town of Zuoz. A notable old town, Zuoz sits on the railway in the valley and is well-poised for a final stage.

Red 4 (grade) 20.8km with 850m ascent, 750m descent
A last stage, mostly through or just above the valley, we link the towns of Bever and Celerina with our destination, St. Moritz, that glamorous little town elevated on the hillside above its lake. While the morning is gently undulating, the afternoon is uphill into town.
